Welcome

Welcome to Endsleigh Holy Child School. Our website offers a window into the heart of our community—a place where every child is valued, inspired, and supported to flourish.

We are very proud to be a welcoming and happy school, where people are polite, helpful and considerate of each other. We have a dedicated team of teachers and support staff who work to ensure that every child achieves to their full potential, becoming confident and responsible members of society.

Children are provided with a wide range of exciting and engaging learning opportunities and aim to make learning relevant to their own lives. Our expectations of children and staff alike are high, and we endeavour to be the best we can possibly be.

Pupils within the school begin their journey being formed in what prayer means and learn how to pray. They leave as respectful, caring and prayerful pupils who carry themselves with dignity and respect themselves and others.

Pupils show a deep respect for themselves and others, knowing that they live out the school mission. Behaviour around school, in lessons and in play gives testament to this.

Leaders have prioritised the teaching of early reading. Teachers group pupils by their current phonics knowledge for their daily phonics session. High-quality training has ensured consistency in practice from teachers and teacher assistants when delivering the phonics scheme

Pupils feel that everyone is treated equally. Those who responded to Ofsted’s questionnaire feel they are encouraged to respect people from other backgrounds.
